Frequently Asked Questions
Thinking about travelling with the family this October half term? Our team is on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding our group tours for families.
What ages are Explore tours suitable for?
On average, children on our family tours are between 12 and 13 years old. If you'd like to find out more about a particular trip's group composition, such as the number of people booked or the ages of the other children, please give us a call. We'd be happy to help you find a trip with families who have children of a similar age. For safety, each itinerary has a minimum age, which you can find in the Family Information section on each trip page.
How many families will be on the trip?
Most of the time you'll join between three and five other families on our multi-activity family trips. This makes for a small group of between 12 and 18 people, including children. In our experience, this is the perfect size for meeting new people while still getting to the heart of the destination.
Do tour leaders provide childcare?
Our leaders are responsible for managing the trip's logistics and ensuring everything runs smoothly. While they will interact with children throughout the holiday, they are not expected to provide childcare. Parents are responsible for their children for the duration of the tour.
What's included in the cost?
Accommodation, transport, and most activities are included, along with some meals. We also leave some activities and meals free so you have the flexibility to explore independently, choosing where and when to eat. We don't include the cost of flights on our website as prices can vary significantly depending on your preferences. However, we can help you arrange these during the checkout process.
For a full breakdown of what's included in a specific trip, please refer to the relevant itinerary.
