About EAS
This project is improving community access to clean, safe water.
High in the Peruvian Andes, on the shores of Lake Titicaca, many communities still struggle to access safe, reliable drinking water. This project tackles that challenge by training and certifying local community water and sanitation technicians in four Aymara communities near Lake Titicaca.
Together with our partner Energía, Ambiente y Sostenibilidad (EAS), hands-on training, will see participants (at least 50% will be women) learn to operate and maintain rural water systems and solar pumps, carry out plumbing repairs and preventative maintenance, and much, much more.
Your support will fund the training, equipment, and materials needed to empower 10 new community technicians (two per village plus two municipal specialists) who will serve 747 families, and around 3,000 people.
Just £10 will provide illustrated guides on safe water and hygiene practices.
