4 ways to explore the Camino de Santiago
E-mail Print

With the launch of two new tours including one designed in collaboration with Emilio Estevez, there are now 4 ways to discover the Camino de Santiago with Explore

The Camino de Santiago or The Way of St. James is a popular pilgrimage route across Northern Spain leading to the historic city of Santiago de Compostela. The route has been traversed for over a thousand years by walkers seeking enlightenment and those simply looking for a great hiking experience. The rolling countryside offers plenty of time and space for quiet reflection and contemplation, punctuated by majestic views, medieval towns and the odd wine tasting opportunity.

The popularity of the route is set to rise with the launch in May of a new film called The Way starring Martin Sheen, directed by his son Emilio Estevez and filmed entirely on location along the Camino.
