What Was The Highlight Or Most Memorable Moment Of Your Tour
This is difficult because I loved everything from start to finish including both the overnight train trips which were exhausting, but which I had a lot of fun and are an integral part of the experience. Koh Sak national park jungle walk was amazing. Koh Phanang was a great first beach stop and where the group really gelled. Koh Toa is absolutely stunning and we had a lovely meal in Sairee beach area, however this was the only place where the accomadation was not up to scratch compared to everywhere else. i.e a thin piece of plywood separating you from your neighbours. Koh Samui cookery class and thai boxing are a must. Coming back to Bangkok really made me appreciate its diversity and atmosphere.
How Was Your Explore Tour Leader
PA was fantastic. His passion and insight into Thailands religion, culture and people was infectious. His high energy made every day an adventure. He was also extremely considerate and showed the utmost professionalism and caring attitude when I felt a bit off colour. This was my first solo trip and as a female travellor I felt completely safe and reassured as soon as I met PA at Bangkok airport and all my unfounded anxieties disappeared. Not only was he a tour leader he was also a very valued member of our group.
What Tips Would You Give To Someone Else Booking This Tour
"High factor water resistant sunscreen for when kayaking. Some trips including optional thai cookery course, thai boxing came at the end of the trip and taxis proved expensive so be prepared to budget for these things near to the end of your holiday"
Do You Have Anything Else To Add
This was my first explore trip, I now have a list of destinations from my fellow travellors taht I'm eager to book. Highlights of explore- Ease of booking, costumer service, holiday experience, organisation of tour, tour leader and importantly for me safety (as my first solo trip as a female traveler)- all absolutely faultless. Can't wait to book my next explore trip!
|This is such a diverse tour of which I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. You get to experience the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, including visiting the Grand Palace and shopping down the Koh San Road. The overnight train to Surat Thani is a great experience if a little tiring.Nothing that a Thai beer or Whiskey couldn't help with. Koh Sok National Park is beautiful. The walks through the jungle were great, finishing off with swimming in cold water falls. The lodge that we stayed in was run by a family who were all so lovely and enjoyed sitting down with us in the evenings. Then onto the beautiful islands. Koh Phangan, Koh Tao then Koh Samui. Salad beach in Koh Phangan was my favourite place we stayed. Hotel was great and the beach was pure paradise. The snorkelling tours on both the small islands were amazing. We even got a chance to see sharks in Koh Tao. Finally Koh Samui. You have to go to the Starz ladyboy cabaret show and to the Ark for dinner on the beach. Plenty of time to shop too! What I really liked about this tour was the fact that even though there's a lot to take in it still feels really relaxing. We had free days on each of the islands which is great for chilling out on the beach. Andy our tour guide was great. He couldn't have done enough for us and knew so much about his country and its history. I loved my first experience of Thailand and will definately go back! The people are lovely, food is fantastic and the country is beautiful. You won't regret it if you book this tour! My tips for the tour: Take a hat for the grand palace in bangkok. It was 40 degrees when we were there! Eye Mask for the train as they keep the lights on. Leech socks for Koh Sok trekking. Something light (but not see through) to cover your shoulders when visiting temples.|
