This was my first trip with Explore and have booked many more since.  Seeing the Potala Palace with my own eyes and subsequently visiting, walking respectfully through the Dalai Lama's bathroom at the Summer Palace, Flying over Mount Everest, Gyantse, and the most amazing drive from the Tingre back to down to Kathmandu - an exhilarating journey dropping some 5km(?) in the space of an afternoon from the high desert plateau into Nepal witnessing amazing cascading waterfalls.     I've noticed the itinerary has slightly changed since - all for the better I hope. For fans of Michael Palin, this is his journey......before he did it!
