City is a great place to visit for the fantastic weather
People planning solo holidays could visit the Turkish city of Antalya, as it is one of the destination with the "fastest growing" popularity, according to the country's tourism board.
Some of the many reasons for the city's growing popularity may be the beautiful climate and great opportunities for taking a discovery-style trip.
Joanna Marsh, who is the press relations co-ordinator for the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office, said that the city is becoming more and more popular with British travellers on solo holidays.
"The combination of long, sandy beaches … and the fabulous Mediterranean climate makes this one of the fastest growing tourism destinations in Turkey," she said.
One of the biggest attractions of Antalya for any type of traveller is the great weather it offers.
As the country is shielded from cold wins by the Taurus mountain range, meaning that even in January, the record high is in around 22 degrees. The city also gets 300 days of sunshine every year.
