Holidaymakers will enjoy a complete sensory experience by visiting Corfu, it has been suggested.
Corfu offers travellers on adventure holidays to Greece plenty more than sun, sea and sand, it has been claimed.
According to the Greek National Tourism Organisation, the island paradise is a "complete experience" that will satisfy all manner of holidaymakers.
Aggeliki Rouva, a spokesperson for the agency's regional unit of Corfu, said that the destination will not only "satisfy the senses" but also "lift them to a higher level".
"The abundance of monuments and sites worth visiting, as well as the wide spectrum of museums testify to the fact that Corfu has a lot to offer to visitors who have high expectations from their holiday destination," she added.
Among the island's most noteworthy attractions are the Museum of Asian Arts, the Achilleon Palace, the summer residence of Kaiser Wilhelm and his wife Elizabeth, Mon Repos and the Castle of Angels, a fort built by the Venetians.
Mr Rouva also noted: "In addition, Corfu town with its Old and New Fortress has been designated as a world heritage monument by Unesco."
