TNTO says the country's tourism industry is 'bouncing back'
People planning adventure holidays may wish to visit one of the many "awe-inspiring" destinations in Tunisia, according to the Tunisian National Tourist Office (TNTO).
The country, which is widely known as the Jewel of the Mediterranean, offers thousands of years of history and miles of beaches on its northern coast.
The tourism board released a statement last week saying that tourism is "bouncing back" in the North African state after the recent 'Jasmine Revolution'.
"Tunisia is only a two-and-a-half hour flight from London and offers an awe-inspiring range of tourist attractions and opportunities," the statement reads.
"[These include] over 700 miles of beautiful beaches, three thousand years of history, golf courses, Thalassotherapy spas and the mysterious Sahara."
Thalassotherapy is a medical procedure that uses seawater as a form of therapy, which may appeal to travellers on adventure holidays. There are many spas dedicated to Thalassotherapy based in many destinations throughout Tunisia.
