Now is the perfect time for solo holidays in Argentina's 'colourful capital'

Buenos Aires is getting 'less humid' now it's coming out of summer

Travellers looking for solo holidays to Argentina should visit the "colourful capital" of the South American country, especially now it is getting less humid

That is according to journalist Mick Webb, who put together a guide in The Independent newspaper called 48 Hours in Buenos Aires.

Mr Webb recommends the city as a stopping point for travellers who are on South American tours, ready to head on to other countries.

"The sultry summer in the Argentinian capital is giving way to less humid autumnal days. Buenos Aires provides a perfect two-day stopover for travellers en route deeper into the country, or across the Andes to Chile," he wrote.

Mr Webb added that says that one element of the country's cuisine is rightly famous the world over. He calls Buenos Aires the "world capital of steak restaurants", or las parrillas as they are known there.

Buenos Aires is the second-largest city in South America, behind Brazil's Sao Paulo.
