Visitors can witness cloudless blue sky and welcoming people in city
South Africa's Cape Town could be ideal for people searching for adventure travel holidays for the coming year because it is "comfortable and cosmopolitan".
That is according to Clare Mann, writing a review of the city for the Daily Telegraph, who said that the "cloudless blue sky and welcoming people" help create a sense of optimism for the country.
She said that the city, which is overlooked by what she calls the "magnificent backdrop" of Table Mountain, is full of museums, shops and cafes as well as waves of history.
People visiting in March could also head along to The Cape Town International Jazz Festival which will see 40 different local and international artists performing over two days, making it one of the leading events of its kind in South Africa.
While describing her first few hours in the city, Ms Mann pinpointed different pieces of history as she took to the streets.
"What a start: headfirst into South Africa's potent history of Dutch settlers, slavery, apartheid and the African National Congress, followed by afternoon tea at the Mount Nelson Hotel. It was a terrific introduction to the city," she wrote.
