Holidaymakers should take a trip to Cambodia during Far East tour
Travellers planning single holidays in the Far East have been advised to pay a visit to Cambodia.
An article on the Forres Gazette claimed that Cambodia is now very popular with tourists who are seeking to discover a different culture during their travels and is home to various landmarks.
It said: "Angkor Wat is arguably the jewel in Cambodia's crown. The huge temple complex, one of the finest examples of classical Khmer architecture, has become the nation's symbol.
"Dating back to the 12th century, Angkor Wat is the World's largest religious building and has pride of place on Cambodia's flag."
Animal lovers should also ensure they visit Bokor National Park, according to the article, as they can see a variety of creatures including the green peafowl, chestnut-headed partridge and tigers.
Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, is home to a range of exotic markets and could be an adventurer's dream as it is often referred to as one of the Far East's undiscovered cities.
