See natural park in all its glory on a walking trip
People planning to visit the natural beauty of Yosemite National Park in the western United States may like to explore the area on a hiking holiday.
The national park, which stretches across the Californian counties of Tuolumne, Mariposa and Madera, is well known as the home to a portion of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
According to a statement from the National Park Service (NPS), US Department of Interior, which is in charge of the upkeep of the country's many green areas: "One of the best ways to experience Yosemite is by taking a hike."
People taking hiking holidays in Yosemite Natural Park may like to visit the stunning Glacier Point, which - according to the NPS - is "an overlook with a commanding view of Yosemite Valley".
Each year, around 3.7 million people visit Yosemite National Park, which was made a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1984, with many of these people travelling to the destination on a hiking holiday.
