My best adventure was in Botswana, there’s nothing quite like sleeping under the stars on safari. My most unforgettable moment was when we were watching a herd of elephants from a boat; they were on the bank opposite us. I was so engrossed that I failed to notice an alligator creeping up on us from behind. The next thing that I knew was my mother screaming as the alligator had leapt into the water next to where I was sat. It was hilarious, but a close call! 

Wherever I travel, I always carry wet wipes, anti-bacterial hand wash and eyeliner. My best piece of travel advice is to stay calm and enjoy it even when things are going wrong - it’s all part of the experience. Working in reservations, I often get asked if it’s safe to travel alone as a woman. I would say absolutely, if I can do it, so can you.
