1) Visit Kaieteur Falls – this majestic waterfall, at 822 feet, is the largest single-drop waterfall in the world and five times the height of Niagara, it is home to the Guianan Cock-of-the-rock as well as tiny golden frogs
2) Learn to play the steel pans at the home of Roy Geddes, Guyana’s legendary steel pannist; he will demonstrate how steel pans are made and give a demonstration of pop, rock, classical and jazz songs on the pans
3) Ikowrama Forest Walkway – there are several walkways, the highest being 30 metres above the ground. They allow great views of a range of canopy species, many of which would be difficult to see from the ground, including parakeets and parrots.

5) Search for the elusive jaguar in the rainforest where the BBC programme ‘Lost Land of the Jaguar’ was filmed
6) Visit an Amerindian school and sing songs with the school children
